Marketing Coordinator (32–40 hours a week)

About Us
At Solarplaza, we organize high-quality international B2B summits where industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge and build partnerships in renewable energy. We are a small team of 40+ people from 15+ countries, working from our headquarters in Rotterdam. We are driven by a shared mission to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy, and we achieve this by facilitating meaningful connections and sharing insights at our events.
Your Mission
As Marketing Coordinator, you will take ownership of planning and executing event marketing campaigns while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring smooth delivery. You will coordinate campaigns across multiple channels, support team members in their execution, and work with colleagues to align marketing with business goals. Your work will directly contribute to ticket sales, sponsor pipeline, and event visibility. You will collaborate closely with our Business Development team, Events team, and Data Analyst/Strategist to make sure campaigns are data-driven and effective.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is structured, communicative, and experienced in marketing coordination. You will guide campaigns from planning to execution, support the junior team, and ensure deadlines and KPIs are met.
Core Competencies
Strategic marketing: event campaign planning & execution (Google Suite, Monday.com)
Customer journey mapping & optimization
Digital marketing: SEO, SEA, email, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, social media strategy (primarily LinkedIn)
Marketing automation (Salesforce, Pardot)
Budget planning & performance analysis
Mentorship: supporting junior-to-medior marketers and designers
Cross-functional team collaboration (BD + Events)
Campaign analytics & reporting
Expected Key Achievements
Increasing qualified lead generation by 10% within 12 months
Executing 12 event campaigns in 6 months, meeting ticket revenue targets
Launching our new online platform with targeted new account registrations
Job requirements
What You Bring
6–8+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in B2B or events
Strong track record in campaign coordination and execution
Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
Hands-on skills in Pardot (Account Engagement), Salesforce, GA4, Tag Manager, and LinkedIn Ads
Familiarity with dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio) is a plus
A proactive, collaborative mindset with focus on execution and improvement
What We Offer
A temporary contract of 7 months for 32–40 hours a week with potential extension
You will become part of our mission: positively impact the world by accelerating the renewable energy transition
28 days of paid leave per full working year (based on full-time employment)
Up to 20 days per year to work remotely (pro-rated for part-time contracts) after 6 months of employment
A hybrid work policy (50% home / 50% office after your third month), working in the office 3 days a week if you have a 5-day work week
