About Us

At Solarplaza, we organize high-quality international B2B summits where industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge and build partnerships in the renewable energy industry. We are a small team of 40+ people from 15+ countries, working from our headquarters in Rotterdam. We are driven by a shared mission to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy, and we achieve this by facilitating meaningful connections and sharing insights at our events.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and curious intern who is eager to grow and contribute to marketing and content projects. You will assist with campaigns, update our website, and help ensure clear and consistent communication.

Your role and mission

  1. Content Management

  • Upload and manage all types of content, including editorials and other relevant materials, on our content management system.

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of content updates.

  • Regularly update and maintain 26+ event websites to reflect the latest information and design standards.

  1. Marketing Administration

  • Regularly create event marketing evaluations, conducting research & analysis.

  • Prepare documentation, participate in meetings, and learn to create strategies for campaigns, working alongside lead marketeers & Project Managers.

  • Prepare content & communication briefs for graphic design and other roles. 

  1. SEO Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough front-end and back-end SEO analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance the visibility and ranking of our websites.

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • You are currently enrolled in an HBO or university program and will remain a student for the whole duration of the internship.

  • You are available for at least 5 months, working a minimum of 4 days (32 hours) per week.

  • You live in or near Rotterdam and can come to the office at least 3 days per week, as we operate in a hybrid working model.

  • You have a good command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or Squarespace), and Google Workspace tools is preferred.

  • You are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • You have a valid visa or authorization to work in the Netherlands (if applicable).
