Candidates must be based in Spain and have demonstrable experience in the Iberian renewable energy sector.

Solarplaza is looking for a freelance professional to support the Solarplaza Summit Iberia 2026, a leading B2B event taking place in March 2026. If you're experienced in speaker coordination, agenda building, and stakeholder outreach, we want to hear from you.

Solarplaza organises high-level international B2B events for professionals in the renewable energy sector. With a team of 40+ colleagues from 15+ countries, we run events globally from our Rotterdam headquarters. Our goal is to accelerate the global energy transition by sharing knowledge and connecting industry leaders.
The Project
The Solarplaza Summit Iberia 2026 will bring together key players in solar PV and energy storage from Spain and Portugal. The event features two main content tracks: Solar PV & Asset Management and Energy Storage, addressing topics such as permitting, grid integration, financing, and policy.
This freelance role runs from September 2025 to March 2026 and is limited to a maximum of 150 hours. You will work remotely, reporting to the Project Manager and collaborating with the Business Development team.
Your Mission
You are responsible for developing the program agenda, sourcing and confirming speakers, identifying potential promotional partners, and contributing to the strategic relevance of the event.
Your Key Responsibilities
Program Development
Collaborate with the Solarplaza team to research, design, and finalise a forward-looking and market-relevant conference program.
Identify current topics, urgent challenges, and regulatory developments in the Iberian solar PV and energy storage sectors.
Speaker Sourcing & Management
Source, approach, and confirm approximately 20 expert speakers from across the industry, including:
Project Developers & IPPs
Legal, financial, and technical advisors
Investors, utilities, and storage specialists
Ensure balanced representation from Spain and Portugal, as well as across sectors and viewpoints.
Partner Integration
Coordinate with the Business Development team to place expert speakers from confirmed partners into relevant panels, keynotes, or breakout sessions.
Ensure the inclusion of partner speakers adds clear value to the program.
Strategic Partnership Building
Identify and approach promotional and content partners such as:
Industry associations
Media outlets
Research institutes and think tanks
Build partnerships that support event visibility, outreach, or content relevance.
Buyer Audience Expansion
Support the strategic growth of the summit audience by suggesting and reaching out to:
New market entrants (e.g. IPPs, EPCs, C&I energy buyers)
High-potential past attendees and relevant buyer profiles
KPIs You Will Be Measured By
Agenda Creation: Delivery of a complete, relevant conference program with two defined tracks.
Speaker Acquisition: Confirmation of 20 high-quality speakers across the solar PV and energy storage value chain.
Partnership Development: Securing relevant promotional or content partnerships that contribute to outreach or added revenue.
Hours Management: Staying within the 150-hour project scope while meeting all agreed deliverables.
Experience & Network: Applying a clear understanding of the Iberian renewable market and leveraging relevant contacts.
Job requirements
What You Bring
Based in Spain
Demonstrated experience and activity in the renewable energy industry.
An existing network (legal, financial advisors, IPPs, developers, BESS and other PV experts) of industry contacts in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal).
Proven experience in speaker management, event programming, or stakeholder engagement.
Solid understanding of solar PV and energy storage industry trends, especially in Iberia.
Strong outreach, communication, and organizational skills.
Self-driven and results-oriented.
Fluent in English & Spanish (Portuguese a plus).
