We offer knowledge and networking solutions for the renewable energy industry in both established and emerging markets across the globe. With 40+ young, ambitious, and highly educated people from 15 different countries, we work to accelerate the energy transition from our Rotterdam office.


Your role and mission

"Content is king" and content marketing remains the most earnest, rewarding, and brand-enhancing approach to the age-old art of promotion. We firmly believe that, for us to be credible event organisers and industry connectors, we need to know our field intimately and should provide high-value content to our network. Email marketing is a key instrument for keeping our readers updated and distributing our content and event updates. To up our game in that area, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Email Marketeer.


  • Writing, building, and sending campaign emails for our events, as well as Solarplaza’s newsletters

  • Conducting event analysis & marketing evaluations

  • Working within the Marketing Department alongside graphic designers, web developers and content curators

  • Possibility to contribute to content creation on social media, websites, and more

  • Possibility to lead events as key marketeer


Here’s what your day will look like as our Email Marketeer

A typical day in the life of a Solarplaza email marketeer starts around 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and includes several key activities. The morning begins by aligning with team members in campaigns, followed by analysing previous campaign performances. You can expect to be completing or drafting emails to go out that day/week, align with list management, and content alignment with brand goals. After lunch with the team in La Cantina or from the comfort of your couch, you might set up and schedule email campaigns, perform A/B tests, and meet with the team to strategise. Throughout the day, you will monitor campaign performance and make necessary adjustments. Industry research is needed to stay updated on trends for the weekly newsletter you create and send.The day ends with responding to emails and planning for the next day. After a productive day, you wrap up by ensuring all tasks are on track for tomorrow and head home, feeling accomplished and ready for the next day's challenges.

Job requirements

What we expect from you

  • Graduated Bachelor or Master in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, Design, PR or a similar/related field

  • Experience with Email Marketing in another position

  • Experience in Pardot/Salesforce

  • Automation and customer journey creation is key

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Experienced Excel / Google Sheets user

  • Flawless in the English language, other languages are a plus

  • Experience in other areas of Marketing is a plus

  • 28 days of paid leave per full working year (based on full-time employment, pro rata to your contract duration).
